Our selling process is easy! Simply call or book an appointment online and bring in your items. Our friendly team will then carry out a comprehensive test on your item to ensure you get the best price. Once testing is complete, a selling price will be determined with payment available on the spot in the form of cash or bank transfer.

The price you receive for selling your gold is dependent on a number of factors including weight, purity of the metal and the current live price. If selling jewellery, the quality and purity of the gemstone/s will be factored in.

The right time to sell gold comes down to your individual circumstances.

We buy all coins and banknotes, no matter what the condition.

It’s ideal if you can give us a quick call before coming in so we can make sure the best person to help you is available.

We’re happy for you to send us photos of your coins and we can value them via email.

Generally, we can give you an offer for your coin or collection at the time of your first visit or email. For rarer collectables, we may need up to 2 days to refer to our team of valuers to ensure the most accurate value and offer for you.

We accept PayPal, Bank transfers and Credit Cards.

The Penny Man will not ever, for any reason, sell or provide your details to a Third Party.

For orders in Australia, you will be charged $0.50 for each additional auction item on top of your initial shipping cost of $9.99.

For international orders, you will be charged $1.00 for each additional auction item on top of your initial shipping cost of $19.99.

You can, however, amend or cancel an auction order may result in a fee or charge due to the backend requirements involving consignors.

Yes. All auction orders are sent Express via Australia Post with signature and tracking. If your order displays as being delivered when it hasn’t been, please contact our team immediately.

If your item is faulty, please get in touch with us to arrange for the return of your items and a refund or exchange. The Penny Man will cover the return shipping cost.

The Penny Man has a 30 day returns policy where your item will need to be returned in its original condition at your own cost. If the item is damaged or incorrect, The Penny Man will cover the return shipping cost.

All auction and online orders are sent our express with signature to ensure tracking is available due to the whole process. If your order ever shows as being delivered and it hasn’t arrived please contact us immediately.

Please allow our team 1-2 business days from the time of order to pack and dispatch your order.

We do! For all online orders, it is a flat fee of $19.99 to ship your order internationally.
